Help the Beehive Fund Averie's Top Surgery!

Earlier today, Averie announced to their friends on facebook that they have scheduled a consultation for breast reduction surgery! This gender affirming surgery is something that Averie has been talking about for a long time, and it's time to help them get the money they need to make it happen!

Averie has long been a bringer of joy in many forms, most notably as an early childhood educator, which everyone can agree is absolutely essential for the creation of well rounded children. Despite the good they do in this field, it is not lucrative in any way which is why we, Averies partners are reaching out and asking for help for someone we love. It has been proven time and time again that the power of community is what will save us from the vicious maw of capitalism, and the community Averie has helped to curate is ungodly powerful in this way. So we are asking for your help in supporting someone who puts their whole heart on the line everytime, someone who trusts and loves plainly and honestly.

In their facebook announcement about the surgical consultation coming up, they said, "I am excited. I am nervous. I am elated! Soon my body can feel like a home, a place where I belong, and not a space I am just occupying or visiting." Many of us, especially those of us who aren't cisgender, can relate to the idea of what it's like to feel like your body isn't a home to you. It's a unique kind of discomfort that we wouldn't wish on anyone, and now we have an opportunity to take some of that pain away from someone we all love very much. 

We are asking for 10,000$. Most of this will cover the cost of the surgery. What's left over will go towards cost of living expenses for the recovery period after the surgery when they will be unable to work. We need to raise the funds by November. We know for a fact that we can make this happen. Time and again we've seen the kind of magic our community can pull out of its hat when one of our own is in need. So donate what you can.
