Meet Bryce and Amanda (McGuire) Beebe, and their seven month old daughter Marabelle. A sweet young family living in very rural Priest Lake, Idaho. Bryce works for a local resort and Amanda tends to Marabelle, along with their three month old nephew.

Priest Lake is beautiful and located in a remote heavily wooded area. It is a resort destination that is secluded and serene. There are very few local services which means grocery stores, church, doctors, etc are one to two hours away at best.

This past Wednesday evening, August 27th, Amanda was driving the 50 miles back to her home after serving youth at a church activity. She was seven miles from home when she collided with a moose in the road. The impact was immediate and devastating with the moose shattering the front windshield and crushing Amanda. Miraculously, and largely due to Amanda’s diligence, both babies (her daughter and nephew) were found by first responders unharmed and safely buckled in the backseat in their car seats. Amanda, however, didn’t fare as well. She was found with multiple life threatening injuries and was immediately air flighted to Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho. 

Moose accidents are known to result in high fatalities. The fact that both babies were discharged from ER within a matter of hours is a huge blessing and directly attributable to Amanda’s diligence.

Amanda’s injuries, on the other hand, will require a lengthy recovery period. Currently doctors have diagnosed severe head trauma, broken arm requiring surgery, multiple skull fractures, facial lacerations, scalp peeling back, significant eye damage, and highly concerning injuries to the connective tissues at base of Amanda’s skull. Brain swelling/bleeding along with concerns about blood clots and stroke are also being monitored.

Other injuries may surface in the coming months as doctors continue to treat and monitor Amanda’s health status.There are many concerns that are being watched closely and will take time to tell. It is anticipated that this will be a very long recovery requiring many services of multiple medical professionals.

This fundraiser will greatly benefit this family as they navigate their new life and try to recover from this unexpected event. In addition to the numerous unknown medical expenses they will accrue, there are some immediate needs: replacing their vehicle, replacing Marabelle’s car seat, expenses related to traveling long distances for medical services, etc. Amanda is currently hospitalized ninety minutes from home. Bryce realizes they may need to consider relocating closer to medical care. All of these changes come with a financial cost.

Our number one ask is for prayers for Amanda, Bryce, and Marabelle. Pray for Amanda to recover and continue to be the fighter she has been to overcome the long road she has in front of her. Pray for her body to heal, her mind to be at ease, and pray for the doctors who are caring for her. Please pray also for Bryce to have the strength to care for Amanda and their baby. Pray for continued health for Marabelle.
