Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
We’re Steve and Marcy Baron, and reaching out like this isn’t easy for us. We've always tried to handle life’s challenges on our own, but we've hit a point where we need to ask for help, not out of pride, but out of real necessity.
Here's what happened:
Our family — Marcy, our daughter Brielle, and Steve — all worked for the same company. Steve was in ACA Sales, while Marcy and Brielle worked in Lead Generation. Things were going well financially, and we were stable — all bills paid on time since moving to Tampa in 2018.
But starting in April 2025, everything changed.
First, the company dissolved its ACA program, shifting Steve to the Medicare department. That transition included mandatory training, a new pay structure, and a week without pay. It set us back a bit, but we managed.
Then, unexpectedly, on May 23rd, the Lead Generation department was dissolved — leaving both Marcy and Brielle without jobs. Just days later, on June 2nd, the entire company shut down, and Steve lost his job too.
The company arranged for some sales agents to transition to a new employer, and thankfully, Steve started with the new company on June 9th. But he won’t receive his first paycheck until July 3rd. That means we’ve been without any income since early June.
In the meantime, we’ve been doing what we can — including DoorDash — but it’s not enough to cover everything. We're now behind on rent, utilities, and our car note. We’re especially worried about losing our home. Our daughter and 5-year-old granddaughter live with us, and we need to keep a roof over all of our heads. Since Steve works remotely, keeping the power on is also critical.
We’re asking for $5,000 to help us stay afloat for the next two months — to cover rent, utilities, and basic living expenses until Steve’s new job picks up momentum.
If you feel led to help, we would be deeply grateful. Any amount — big or small — makes a difference. And if you can’t give, sharing this with others would mean the world to us, too.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your generosity. God bless you.
With gratitude,
Steve & Marcy Baron
