Hi all, my name is Sage and I am coming here asking for help for my parents, Josh and Tammy Barker. My dad, Josh Barker, has always had some troubles with his throat and breathing but early last week December 2nd he just couldn’t breathe. My mom took him to the ER where they found a mass on his left vocal cord. He was immediately transferred by ambulance to Denver since there was some concern that any swelling could close his airway.

On December 2nd, our world changed. My dad was suddenly diagnosed with throat cancer, and within days he had to undergo a tracheotomy, have a feeding tube placed, and receive a biopsy. He is currently in the hospital recovering while we wait for the next steps in his treatment.

My dad has always been the rock of our family. He’s the sole provider and recently put everything into starting his own business—something he’s worked incredibly hard for and is so proud of. Now, with him unable to work and medical needs piling up, our family is facing financial stress we never expected.

With Christmas just around the corner and my dad in the hospital, we’re doing our best to stay strong, but we truly need help. Any support—whether financial, prayers or simply sharing this page—means more to us than words can express. Donations will go toward bills, travel, basic living expenses, and helping us keep everything afloat while my dad focuses on healing.
