Our names are Dale and Jesse, the owners of The Barefoot Farmstead located on the beautiful Bruce Peninsula!
Why we need your help...
Our dream is to have a Yurt in our forest for people to rent out and enjoy our beautiful 50 acre property and the wonders the Bruce Peninsula has to offer!
What is a Yurt?!
A Yurt is a unique all season shelter built from the traditions of nomadic culture.

The Yurt is able to be rented out all year, yes even in the winter! It stays cozy with a wood stove in the winter yet cool/breezy in the summer.
Eventually we would like to offer farm to table Bed and Breakfasts for our guests!
Each Yurt will be beautifully decorated with antique furniture.
It will come equipped with a kitchenette and a solar powered battery pack to charge your phone.
There will also be a washroom building located beside the Yurt equipped with a composting toilet, pump sink and an outdoor shower.
Where exactly are we located??
The Farmstead is located in between Wiarton and Owen Sound. About 25 minutes to Sauble Beach and an hour from Tobermory!
Costs...
Yurts aren't cheap - so we need your help!! The kind of Yurt we will purchase is 100% Canadian and handmade by Canadians! It is about $15,000.
This Yurt should last us for the rest of our lives!
