Hi my name is Jessi and I am trying to raise funds for my family in order to help with our monthly bills, groceries & other monthly costs to keep us afloat. My husband is our only source of income as I am a stay at home mom. I was set to go back to work, but I will not be able to now due to my husbands accident. He was involved in a traumatic work accident on October 12 and will not be able to go back to work for quite some time. He was operating a scissor lift when his coworker who was operating the crane knocked him over from 20ft high. The doctors were surprised that he even survived a 20ft fall. He is very lucky to be alive and we are so grateful! In this accident he broke bones in his left hand, shattered his left anke and foot, dislocated his shoulder, bruised his spine and heavily bruised the soft tissue throughout his body. The orthopedic surgeon's exact words were "while he is lucky to be alive he completely destroyed his ankle and will never be able to walk the same again and he will get arthritis in his ankle and hand." He has already had one surgery to stabilize the ankle and will have to have another one to repair it. Plus he may have to have more down the road. And also continued PT and OT once he is recovered from all of the surgeries. He spent a week in the hospital while they were keeping him for observation due to complications during surgery & trying to control pain. We have 6 children & a rescue farm with a lot of animals that are fully dependent on us. We just recently (October 18) had to take one of our rescue dogs in for emergency vet care while my husband was still in the hospital. That vet bill was $630. Anything will help!
