Help the Ball Family during Steve's Cancer Battle
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kari Kelly, and my dear friends Teressa & Steve Ball and their family are the most amazing, giving, devoted people I know. Steve was recently given a very difficult diagnosis at the end of June of Malignant Melanoma. During his work-up, it was discovered that he had a secondary cancer, which started as a small intestine tumor. There are now numerous other tumors wrapped around several other organs, indicating metastasis. These are two separate cancers, and this is very rare. His local doctors would not even touch him to do the biopsy to confirm the diagnosis, so they have had to seek treatment outside the area, which will be expensive. They will travel to the NIH (National Institutes of Health) in Bethesda, Maryland. These expenses include airfare, hotel, car rental, food, etc. will all be out of pocket. The Ball Family also has six small children they have taken in and adopted, which they cannot take with them, and they will need to have long-term childcare arranged for them, which is an added expense. Obviously, neither Teressa or Steve can work at this time, and we have no idea how long the treatment or recovery will take. Steve is scheduled for surgery on Sept. 26th, which will be a very difficult battle for the entire family. Please share this with everyone you know; any amount is greatly appreciated. Most of all, please have Steve and the family in your prayers. We are praying for a miracle. Thank you.
