Help the Bakewell’s rebuild from Hurricane Ida

Donation protected

Hi all, I’m setting this GoFundMe up to help our dear friends rebuild after the catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Ida that occurred in Lambertville on September 1st.

Darren and Nancy’s home has been condemned and they have been told it could take up to a year until it could be habitable again. Sadly, their insurance will only cover a fraction of what it will cost to rebuild, and it does not cover temp housing while restoration is being done.

Nancy and I met at work and have been good friends for a few years now. She is the most selfless, thoughtful and giving person I have ever met. She is not one to ever ask for help, so with her approval, I am reaching out to friends, family, co-workers, and community members to please consider donating whatever you can to help Darren and Nancy pick up the pieces and rebuild their lives.

There are no words to describe the devastation I witnessed first hand today. But I also witnessed an incredible outpouring of support for the Bakewell’s. I know so many people have reached out offering support, so I’m hoping we can rally together and give them what they need the most, funds to rebuild.
