Hello Friends,

I wanted to share with everyone an update of how we are doing so far.

Today is Friday, 3 weeks since we lost everything we have ever owned, everything we have ever loved! All taken from us in one horrific, and overwhelming moment of disbelief!

We are still grieving our beloved pets…the only thing they ever wanted was for us was to love them and keep them safe. Unfortunately, we let them down and they lost their lives for no good reason. We are still in shock and overwhelmed with this whole life changing event, that was forced upon us while we were sleeping within a house we thought was safe.

I would have never put any of us (including our pets) in such danger if I had any clue that this could and did happen. The only reason that I keep going every day is knowing that we made it out alive. Others in this same situation haven’t always been so lucky.

The good news is that there are so many good hearted people in this world that have helped us in so many ways. Donating clothes, food, basic hygiene items, financial assistance, blankets, bed sheets, bathroom essentials, a refrigerator, necessary kitchen items, such as plates, utensils, and cook ware.

We have been given gift cards for things for personal care items, a place to live until we can figure out where to go from here, and the most important thing is the power of prayer. We are truly blessed and grateful to everyone that has, is and will be, helping us find our way to something that feels normal again.

I know the road ahead will be challenging and one of the hardest parts of our lives thus far but I am confident and I truly believe we will get through this together!
