Help to Reopen The Baker’s Lounge DC!
On Thursday, Catherine of The Baker’s Lounge, texted to me saying the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) just closed her shop because of minor building concerns. Her previous contractors abandoned the project without satisfying their contract and now The Baker’s Lounges is faced with additional expense now dealing with the DCRA.
Catherine is a small business owner and she and the Baker’s Lounge is a valued part of our Brookland community. In fact, they just donated baked goods to an event in the neighborhood that someone posted about on the Brookland list yesterday!
It would be greatly appreciated if a community comes together to lend assistance. She could use some help getting the building completed and reopened.
