Hello everyone! I want to introduce you to the newest addition to the Baker Family. Meet Toaster Strudel. My husband and I recently adopted him through the Humane Society, and he quite literally pulled his way into our lives. We were walking through the hall of the shelter, and he grabbed onto my shirt as we walked past him, and the rest was history.

Strudel is the sweetest, kindest kitten I have ever met in my life. He is extremely playful and will instantly start purring if you look his way. I mean, he even gets our other cat, Cinnamon Bun, to play with him, and she judges everyone who crosses her path. As he was acclimating to our home, we noticed a crook in his tail, and he never swayed it. We took him to the vet for a check-up and voiced our concerns with them. After a few x-rays, they confirmed our fears and said his tail was broken at one point and healed wrong.

Please know that we do not place blame on the shelter, and we know his injuries were sustained before he was even rescued. This shelter gave him a second chance at life, and we cannot be more grateful for them.

Now, we're facing the sad reality that his tail needs to be amputated to prevent ongoing pain and complications as he gets older. He is still a kitten, and he will continue to grow, and we don't want his tail to hinder his quality of life. Unfortunately, the cost of surgery and his aftercare is more than we can manage alone, and we're reaching out for help.

My husband and I want to give him the healthy and happy future he deserves. Strudel is loving and resilient, and we want nothing more than to see him thrive and live his life with us and our other cat, Bun. Any support, no matter the amount, means the world to us.
