My name is LaWanda Loving and On the morning/afternoon of December 26, 2025, our family experienced a devastating tragedy. My brother Ron “Flet” Bailey, his wife Erica Bailey, their children Norayia and RaLena, and a close friend Hannah, whom they were helping, lost their home in a sudden house fire.

In a matter of moments, they lost everything — their home, their belongings, their pets, sentimental items including the remains of their son, and even the gifts they had just received for Christmas. The loss is overwhelming and heartbreaking beyond words.

By the grace of God, my sister-in-law and the ladies were not home at the time of the fire. Sadly, Ron was asleep when the fire started and barely escaped with his life. As the ceiling collapsed around him while he was fleeing, he suffered serious injuries and is currently hospitalized in a burn unit, where he may remain for several days as he continues to heal.

We are incredibly thankful that Ron was able to escape. We truly believe that God was with him, protecting him in the midst of the fire, and that his life was spared for a reason. While we are grateful he survived, the road to recovery will be long and challenging.

This family now faces immediate and ongoing needs, including:

Travel expenses to and from the hospital

Food and gas

Possible uncovered medical expenses (still being determined)

Temporary housing and eventually finding a new place to live

Loss of income while Ron is unable to work and recover

Rebuilding will be a long and difficult journey. Our hope is to ease some of the burden so Ron can focus on healing without the constant worry of how they will manage day to day.

We understand that the holidays have just passed and that this is a difficult season for many.
