Help the Bage's with Medical & Household bills

Hello, my name is Anji and I am trying to help raise funds for Scott "Bogie" and Lisa Bage. I need to start off by letting you all know these people are some of the most kind, loving, and giving people I know. They love God, and do a lot of praying not just for them, but for ALL who are need. They have given tirelessly to others, and been there for so many when people needed them. Well now, they are in need. Lisa works for me, and Bogie is unable to work due to his health, so she is their only form of income, other than a small disability check. Lisa loves her job and works very long hours in order to make ends meet. In the past Bogie has been our saving grace at the office running errands, picking up mail, whatever we needed done but now he can't even walk. This was his way of giving and helping, because he is just that way!

Bogie was Diagnosed in 1998 with Von Hippel-Lindau (a genetic disorder now classified as a type of cancer), he has been through multiple surgeries, brain, eye, ear, adrenal gland and kidney. The last kidney procedure in 2012 was a simple kryoblation. They have gone several years (2016) without surgery. They went for annual scans, and have new challenges. Scans show new tumors in his spine ( cervical), ear tumor (endolymphatic sac) growing aggressively, and two tumors on his right kidney. They were told of the tumors on October 7 and diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney cancer. Before they could even get appointments scheduled, Bogie began having problems walking and sitting. Lisa took him to the ER two weeks ago. He was in excruciating pain. The tumors on his kidney are Renal cell carcinoma, and it has metastasized as lesions to his lower spine. The cancer weakened the L4 and L3 vertebrae, and caused a pathological fracture. Bogie had surgery last Friday to try to kryoblate the cancer in his spine and put cement in to stabilize the vertebrae. Unfortunately it didn’t abate the pain- and nerves are still compressed. New visits are being made to a urologist and oncologist to figure out the rest. They are about to start a long road of treatments, doctor appointments and surgeries. Lisa has to be with him during these times. She can't afford to miss work, but will be forced too. We are asking for your help in donations so they can cover medical expenses and household bills to keep a roof over their head. I have watched the stress on Lisa's face wondering how they will do this, but she always states, God will get us through. It just breaks my heart they have to go through this all while trying to pay the bills.

If you know Bogie (aka Scott, also proud Peepaw) you know how strong, kind and tough he is. He never wants to ask for help, so I AM for them. Their sweet son Travis, has stepped up to care for his dad so that Lisa can still attempt to work, but he has started a job as well so they are trying their best to make sure Bogie is never left alone.

They are strong in their faith and believe in the power of prayer. If it moves you to pray, we all would greatly appreciate it. Good thoughts and light are also always welcome.
