Help the Badours with medical expenses
Donation protected
Kellie Badour is a long time employee of Empire Life. Last week, Kellie had to take her 14-year old son, Brayden, to the hospital when he was experiencing severe headaches and dizziness. After running some tests it was first thought that Brayden had a syndrome which attacked his blood cells and he, along with Kellie, were going to be flown to the children's hospital in London for further treatment. Before they left Kingston, the results of Brayden's MRI came back and revealed a tumor on his spine. Kellie and Brayden were sent to Sick Kids in Toronto where he immediately had surgery to have the tumor removed. Test results are still pending. He is currently on a ventilator and has lost some feeling, which doctors are hoping will come back with time. Brayden has suffered a setback in the last couple of days, his blood pressure dropped and his temperature spiked. More tests are being run to determine if there has been any damage to his organs with his high temperature. At this point in time there is nothing for Brayden's family to do but wait. Kellie will be in Toronto for several weeks and is currently staying at a hotel and her husband Dave will be travelling to Toronto soon to spend some time with them as well. Kellie will be off work for an undetermined period of time and will have significant out-of-pocket expenses. Let's help the Badours by raising some money to help with their expenses and take away some of their financial burden so they can focus their attention where it's most important, on Brayden's recovery.
