Help the Badgery's through a tough time! For Teresa ❤️
Donation protected
Recently, the Badgery family, who are owners and operators of Goomburra Valley Campground, had something happen to them that no one could predict. Teresa, wife of Brad, and an amazing mother, suffered a severe stroke at the Campground.
The stroke has seen the Badgery's family world turn upside down, with the incident so severe, that Teresa has been placed in palliative care.
Teresa is the linchpin in the day to day running of Goomburra Valley Campground, just outside of the small town of Allora, in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland.
Teresa is loved by absolutely everybody who visited and stayed at Goomburra Valley Campground, as well as by all in the local small town of Allora.
It can't be put into words the efforts Teresa put in for others, as well as charities large and small! Her tireless work in helping arrange the Legends For Charity campout last year alone, which saw over $30 000 dollars raised for both LifeFlight Rescue, as well as a local animal rescue shelter, Southern Downs ARK, was integral to the event being so successful. Even the weekly meat tray contest at the campground, all funds went to LifeFlight.
The entire family is by her bedside, however, this has it's own costs. Petrol, Parking, Accomodation, Food... the list goes on.
Therefore, and at the request of a few of the amazing Legends For Charity Community, I have set up this GoFundMe for the family. This GoFundMe is to help out with their immediate expenses when a tragedy such as this happens.
The campground out at Goomburra, to Brisbane where Teresa is currently in Hospital, is over 2 hours drive each way... with this trip being made by some of the family, daily, due to the family business of the Campground, with things to tend to there.
Hopefully this GoFundMe can help out with some of these expenses, that no one could have predicted, would be needed.
So, in the great Aussie tradition of 'passing the hat around' in tough times... I reach out to you all to help out this amazing woman and this incredible family at this tough time.
If you can help in anyway, your help would be so incredibly appreciated.
Thank you everyone!
- Folks, it was announced today that Teresa has unfortunately passed away. Any contribution at all is gratefully appreciated during this tough time.
Folks, your outreach so far has been incredible! Thank you!! If we hit the goal folks, you can still contribute, the goal is just a number I selected in the setup... you can still add to the hat even if it says we have hit the goal. All help is greatly appreciated folks!
