Incidentally, about a week prior to the discovery of Kevin’s cancer, their French bulldog, Walter, also got injured. He woke up one morning with paralysis to both of his hind legs. He is currently being treated with steroids and pain medication with little improvement but will require a MRI and possible surgery to return feeling to his hind legs so he can walk again.
As you can imagine these two events happening simultaneously has put a tremendous amount of stress and financial burden on their family. Currently my sister is the sole provider for their household including the care of their young daughter, Veda. They have worked incredibly hard their whole lives but nothing could have prepared them for this. My sister has always been the first person to help, donate and fundraise when others were in need. Kevin will require physical rehabilitation in addition to chemo and radiation treatments and additional surgery before he is able to do the things that he loves again; being a barber, playing the drums, fishing and of course, going to watch the Browns play again. These funds will go towards Kevin and Walters medical bills household finances and child care. Even if you are unable to donate or are non-religious, I ask that you say a prayer or send positive/healing thoughts to this family.
