Dear Friends,

We can never thank you enough for your help. Each donation and each message from you is a source of light that makes this nightmare several shades less dark for the Ayzens and myself. We are humbled and grateful beyond words by the outpouring of empathy, concern, and support you've shown the family. 

Arina's condition continues to improve. She has extensive short term memory loss but is doing about as well as can be hoped at this stage. She is making a ton of progress in her cognition and her doctors are optimistic that she will continue to improve as her brain injury heals. She's doing better on cognitive testing, playing music, and reciting poetry. She's also now able to meet regularly with her son, Arseny, which is a huge help and relief to her. Subjectively, she's much more herself (her manner of speech and reactions are getting closer and closer to her baseline). Her leg fracture is healing well too, she can now walk with a walker.

Arkady continues to improve as well. His fractures are healing well but walking is a challenge because with his left leg and left hand injured, he's unable to put much weight on his left side. Nonetheless, he's making good progress with physical therapy and on the right track, according to his doctors.

We've nearly reached our goal in just a few weeks which is mind-blowing and humbling. Your staggering generosity has made it possible for the family to focus on healing and breathe a little easier. However, if you're just seeing this now, additional contributions are still very much appreciated as we still don't know the extent of the financial fallout.

Dear Friends,

We are raising funds to help the Ayzen family recover from a horrific car accident. Arina sustained a traumatic brain injury аnd leg fracture. Arkady sustained a chest (rib) fracture, angulated ankle fracture, and 4 fractured fingers; he is also being treated for pre-existing conditions.

Arina and Arkady are now in stable condition; we are cautiously optimistic for their recovery but it will take a lot of resources and time.

We welcome any contribution, large or small, to help cover medical, legal, and childcare expenses for Arina, Arkady, and other affected family members. Please help us help the Ayzen family to heal physically, psychologically, and financially.
