We are a small business located in Plymouth, Minnesota. My business is called The Art of Cleaning and I have 12 employees. We do residential cleaning and right now my business is at risk due to all the cancellations from the COVID-19 pandemic. Minnesota was just declared a "stay at home" state for 2 weeks and the amount I am requesting will cover my employees payroll for this 2 week period. It does not include anything for myself... Only them. My total payroll for a minimum 30 hour week for them is $4,800 which would be just enough for them to get by supporting their families... All I desire is to cover 2 weeks of payroll so they can start back up in 2 weeks when this (hopefully) subsides. All of my employees are long term dedicated hard working people and I do not want to lose them. When we get through this terrible period, I will find a way to further build up my business and repay the debt through whatever means I can from the business to the community that I serve... whether it be provide free cleanings to someone in need or donate to immigrant worker causes.
