Help The Arc - The Ashmore Rescue for Cats.

Hi, my name is Hazel, and I'm raising some much-needed funds to help The Arc reopen its doors.

Sally's rescue is celebrating nine years of dedication to cats this year. Times are hard, and this is even more evident with the current UK cat crisis. Fundraising is difficult; understandably, people are more frugal with their hard-earned cash, especially with the current cost of living.

Sadly Sally has had to close her doors; with a vet bill well over £5,000 and rising, she has had no alternative but to halt the intake of desperate cats needing rescue. Not only does she need to reduce her vet bill drastically, but she is also raising funds to pay for expensive FIP treatment for a kitten. The rescue is struggling with all this, and funding for food, litter, and flea and worm treatment is ongoing.

Sally's role in rescue is vital; she ensures every cat that leaves her rescue is neutered regardless of age, thus ending the vicious reproducing cycle. All cats are vaccinated and receive veterinary treatment where needed, snap testing for viruses is also carried out.

Sally's dedication is commendable; her day starts at 5 am and finishes at midnight, leaving precious time for fundraising.

Sally's vet bill alone has reached over £30,000 since January, an excellent indication of the number of cats that have passed through the rescue doors, so you can see the importance of keeping The Arc open.
