My family was in a car accident that resulted in their car catching fire and being incinerated. Somehow, thankfully, my family is largely physically okay, but there are many new and additional expenses. Things like insurance deductibles, ambulance costs, car costs, and replacing the items (meds, eye glasses, driver's licenses, etc.), lost in the fire.
This is in addition to the general expenses of living with several extensive chronic illnesses that include multiple specialist copays ($60 each!) per month, over a dozen medications, regular hospital stays, a recent surgery (with another pending), and nearing dialysis. It is overwhelming.
Surviving on one income + disability is nearly impossible in the best of times, and these are not those. We're doing what we can to help, but would be grateful for any additional support.
Thank you,
Melissa
