Help the Anderson Family Through Baby Owen's Fight

Donation protected
My name is Amanda Anderson and my husband is Jeff Anderson, we live on the Mississippi coast and have a beautiful little girl who will be 7 in October. A little backstory, back in September 2019 I suffered a miscarriage and had a d&c. Numerous times since then I was informed I wouldn't be able to have anymore children or that it would be very difficult. Fast forward to February of this year I got a positive pregnancy test which surprised us both. In March my OB discovered I'm type 2 diabetic and I had no idea and now rely on insulin. Everything seemed to be going perfect until I had an anatomy scan done in June to check on the developing organs to make sure everything was good. To our surprise it wasn't. We found out our baby boy has some heart defects. We were referred to Ochsner-Baptist in New Orleans where specialists could take a look. They confirmed baby boy has a Double Outlet Right Ventricle(DORV) a large VSD, small right ventricle, small pulmonary artery. Along with verifying that we learned there was a new complication. He has a 2 vessel umbilical cord instead of 3 as well as he's Fetal Growth Restricted(FGR). His weight is measuring only in the 12th percentile and his abdominal circumference is only in the 6th percentile. Unfortunately the high risk with FGR can be still birth. Due to all his conditions I will have to deliver at 37 weeks(almost 24 now). He will have to be in the NICU for 7-10 days and once stabilized transferred over to the cardiac ICU where the first surgery of multiples will be done. According to doctors his recovery time after surgery will be 4-6 weeks and hopefully after that be able to take him home. With multiple trips back and forth to New Orleans for my fetal echos to check on baby boy and then once we have to deliver and all the back and forth since we do have another child, it will entail many days of missed work and income to help make sure baby boy is ok/going to be ok. We have a very long road and journey ahead of us that we definitely weren't prepared for but here we are and we know God's on our side. God doesn't make mistakes and has given us this baby that is already so loved. While we know not everyone can donate, sharing our GoFundMe and story and prayers is highly appreciated.
With love,
