Help the Ambrosio Vargas Family

Hello, my name is Maya Moreau and I am starting this fundraiser to support a family that I have worked with for years that has recently fallen under difficult times. A little over a week ago their son, a beloved local student, Andy Ambrosio Vargas, was involved in a car accident that lead to major injuries. Currently, he is fighting for his life in a trauma care unit at an area hospital. The accident lead to severe head trauma causing Andy to be induced into a coma, after two major head surgeries, in order to allow for brain bleeding and swelling to hopefully subside. At this time, he remains in a coma and doctors are unsure as to when he will be able to be brought out. In keeping high hopes that he will come out, there is no prediction that can be made as to what state he will be in. The future is very unclear and the family is living day to day trying to survive this together. Both parents are, understandably, unwilling and unable to leave their son's side while he fights for his life leading to them being unable to work for the foreseeable future. With three other children at home and family/ community members pitching in to help care for them, this fundraiser is being created to help compensate the family for lost income and additional costs incurred during this time. Specifically these funds are to help cover the costs for food/household goods, gas, and bills that need to be paid and unfortunately do not take a "break" due to difficult times. As any parent can imagine, seeing one of your children in such a concerning state is extremely defeating. It would be such a blessing if our community could come together to help the Ambrosio Vargas family have one burden removed from their shoulders so they are all able to focus entirely on the recovery and hopeful forward progress of their sweet son and brother. Andy is a strong, funny, thoughtful young man who makes our community better just by being a part of it. Please take a moment to show him and his family that we are here to lift them up in this time of extreme anguish and hardship.

Hace poco más de una semana su hijo, un querido estudiante local, Andy Ambrosio Vargas, estuvo involucrado en un accidente automovilístico que provocó lesiones graves. Actualmente, lucha por su vida en una unidad de atención de traumatología de un hospital de la zona. Andy es un joven fuerte, divertido y reflexivo que mejora nuestra comunidad con solo ser parte de ella.
