Help the Al-Khudari family survive in Gaza

Hello friends and compassionate supporters, thank you very much for taking the time to read my plea for help.

My name is Nour, and I am a mother trying hard to keep my family alive in the horrific conditions of Northern Gaza. We are on the brink of death and require money for rent, food and my infant's treatment for asthma.

Our lives have been destroyed by war. My brother and uncle were killed. Our house was bombed and my husband, our little son, and I survived and were pulled out from the rubble. We are traumatized but we are thankful we are alive.

We have lost everything: our home, our jobs, and all our belongings. Every day we struggle to find food and a safe place to stay. My biggest worry is for my 3 year old son Sami. He has asthma and urgently needs treatment and care that we cannot pay for. He is always in pain and distress, and it aches my heart to see him suffer.

We have been staying in tents, facing bombings and harsh weather. Recently, my son had a severe asthma attack in a tent due to the cold weather and almost died. To rent a survivable place, we need 3,300 shekels ($1,000 USD / $1,300 CAD) every month. We cannot afford this.

With the aid blockade, food is rare to find, and the prices are very high. Every day our hope gets smaller, but we hold on to our faith.

With the bombs all around and our lack of access to basic necessities like food, clean water and warmth, we are struggling to survive.

For these reasons, I am reaching out to you all, to help me and my family before it’s too late. Any contribution will go towards helping us secure shelter, food and treatment for our son.

I believe in the goodness of people, and I am hopeful that there will be people to help us find some safety and stability in these horrific conditions.
