Hello family, friends and allies -- My name is Ky (or some of you may know me by Dove). I am a wife, mother of three and lactation consultant. For the last five months I have been working with a group of peers to help support a Palestinian mother, her husband, their newborn baby boy and their three daughters.

For over two years this family has been living through unimaginable, inhumane conditions. "Israel's" occupation of Gaza has left her family displaced, their home destroyed and their hopes of the future seem unattainable.

Now that the first phase of the Ceasefire is underway, Samia, Ahmed and their family are hoping to raise the necessary money to escape from Gaza, travel to Egypt and rebuild their life. Travel is costly but Samia hopes that by raising enough money she and her husband will not have to leave their children behind.

The Alhassanat family wants to find a school to educate their daughters and have a safe, clean and happy future for their infant son.

We have no idea if this ceasefire and every stage of it will be honored or not, it's been broken before. This is why it is so important for us to raise this money for their family quickly.
