I am writing this with a sense of urgency that I’ve never felt before. My name is Laura van Bree, and I am launching this emergency appeal for the Albardaweel family in Gaza. They are not just surviving a war, they are fighting a daily battle against cold, injury, and the heartbreaking memory of their son, Mohammad, who was killed in this conflict.

Why €45.000? A Breakdown of Hope

€45.000 sounds like a lot, but for Hussein, Maysa, and their family, it is the price of life itself. Here is exactly how your donations will be used:

Evacuation to Safety (€30.000 - €35.000 approx.): The cost of coordination and crossing the border to Egypt has become incredibly expensive. This is for the parents, three children, and the elderly, fragile grandparents. Of course prices change continuously, so this is an estimate.

Immediate Survival (€5.000): To purchase a private tent (they currently share one with strangers), essential medicine for the injured children, and food for the elderly grandparents who are suffering from chronic illnesses.

A New Start: A small fund to help them find a room and basic necessities once they cross the border, so they aren't homeless in a new country.

A Family Torn Apart

The Albardaweels are living in a nightmare.

The Children: Hala, Mohanad, and Jana are injured and living in a torn tent. They have no privacy and no safety.

The Elders: Hussein’s parents are shivering in the damp cold. Without walls or proper beds, I am terrified the winter will take them before the bombs do.

The Grief: They haven't even had the chance to properly mourn Mohammad. They are too busy trying to stay alive.

They have no home to return to. Their only hope is to cross that border. You are the bridge between their torn tent in Gaza and a safe bed in Egypt.
