Help the Al-Bashiti Family Rebuild Their Lives
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Yasmine, and I am raising funds for my friend Ahed in Gaza. In his own words, this is his story.
He was living a peaceful life before October 7. He was living with his family, which consists of seven family members, including his mother and father, his brothers Mohammed and Anas, and his sisters Hala and Ghadeer. He was studying at the University College of Applied Sciences and was very ambitious. Ahed was planning for his future and his university studies, but unfortunately, this future did not come.
As the events of the ongoing conflict began on October 7, which changed many of their lives and made Ahed without education and no future—they were living a life immersed in happiness—but with the start of the conflict that began on October 7, they started living in terror, sadness, and pain all the time. Their house in Rafah became a shelter for many displaced families from the northern Gaza Strip, and they suffered from despair and psychological discomfort.
Ahed and his family were living with some families who lost their homes and children. His father spent everything he had to help the displaced families and to live a simple life despite the pain, wounds, and fear. But after another four months, they soon became displaced and homeless as well. As the conflict began to move into the city of Rafah, Ahed and his family were forced to migrate to Khan Younis, and the cost of life was very difficult to bear. They did not live in tents before and were always in a constant exodus from death, fear, and the sounds of explosions. Even in tents, life was difficult. There was no safety, and the thin walls could not protect them from the winter cold; therefore, they were exposed several times to skin diseases.
Ahed and his family struggled daily to provide water, and there was always a shortage of daily needs. Unfortunately, the city of Rafah was destroyed, and that meant their house too. They started living in tents, suffering from the lack of water, food, and even clothing.
Other than the diseases that infect them, other than the winter and bitter cold, Ahed and his family need, in the name of humanity, to address the living conscience within you all. All they need is help in order to return to their normal life. They need to build the house that was destroyed by the war on Gaza, as well as buy some furniture and university study materials.
All that is why we launched this fundraising campaign. No matter how small your donations are, they can grow and grow.
He needs to raise money to start a new life for himself and his family.
The eviction fee is $5,000 for an adult and $2,500 for a child, and they are struggling to hold on to the hope of life. If you have compassion in your heart, if you believe in the value of humanity, please consider donating. Your kindness could be the difference between despair and survival.
"You are our last hope."
