Help the Acevedos Hurricane Harvey
Donativo protegido
Hurricane Harvey has been devastating for my family. My cousins, the Acevedos, and my Grandmother, who has been living with my Aunt in Houston, have lost nearly everything. Each of their homes have sustained immense water damage, one of which has been flooded to the cieling. Without the ability to bring much with them, most of their belongings will be destroyed.
My Cousins we're evacuated yesterday evening. Here is a bit of their story.
"We left our apartment in a Coast Guard boat, with one backpack each, plus a first aid kit and our guinea pig.
We each had a granola bar and my daughter ate hers in the pick up truck that took us to a friend’s house for shelter.
We had been there a few minutes when my baby said I’m hungry, and I felt helpless. Of course, my friend had food and graciously shared her pantry with us (fritos and bean dip), but I had no food for my family. "
You can find more updates on her blog here http://www.coppeliamarie.com/hurricane-harvey-flooding-and-our-evacuation-story-day-1/
Please help this wonderful family rebuild their lives and give their children a home to go back to. No donation is too small and I promise you, they are more thankful than words can describe.
Thank you!
