Hi, I’m Suzanne. I’m in New Jersey. Khaled’s cousin Leila and I are using this fundraiser to help Khaled’s family of seven remain in their current shelter. Here is a brief video with photos of their life in Gaza before the war.
MOST RECENT UPDATE (10/14/24): Khaled Abu Madin, his wife and their four children (ages three to 10) and his mother need direct support NOW to survive the winter. They were displaced from their home in central Gaza and were lucky to find an apartment but need money for rent. Khaled, who owned two coffee shops before the war, now works with a friend at the local market to make enough for the family to eat something each day. The conditions in Gaza worsen daily and living conditions in tents are unsafe and unhealthy, which is why this family is asking for help to stay in their current shelter.
Their survival depends on all of us.
NOTE: because the situation on the ground is constantly changing, we understand that Khaled and his family will need to use funds for whatever needs are most urgent!
