Help the Abdel Aal Family Rebuild Their Lives
Donation protected
I'm launching this fundraiser in solidarity with my friends the Abdel Aal family, who are refugees from Palestine, currently displaced in Egypt. Forced to flee their home due to the ongoing violence and devastation in Gaza, they are now facing the daily struggles of survival without stable housing, income, or access to basic needs. This campaign is a way to support them directly and help restore a sense of dignity, safety, and hope as they navigate an uncertain future.
The funds raised will be regularly delivered by electronic bank transfer.
"From the Heart of War... to a Dream of a New Life"
My name is Yahya Zakaria Abdel Aal, a 31-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. I'm married and a father of three beautiful children.
I used to live a peaceful, fulfilling life in Gaza. I worked as a chef—specializing in shawarma—while also pursuing my passion for photography and music. Surrounded by my family and friends, I had hopes, dreams, and a future I was building with love.
Then everything changed overnight.
War shattered everything I had—my home, my job, my dreams. I lost close friends, beloved relatives, and was forced to flee from northern Gaza to the south. For six long months, my family and I lived in a tent, enduring unimaginable conditions filled with fear, hunger, and uncertainty.
By the grace of God, I managed to leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing and reach Egypt, hoping to start a new chapter. But life here is incredibly difficult.
I have no home, no stable income, and no job. Every day is a struggle just to provide basic needs for my children.
I dream of starting over.
I want to buy a small house where my family can live safely and with dignity. I hope to open a small shawarma restaurant—a place where I can work hard, serve others, and rebuild our lives with pride.
One of the hardest things is not being able to send my children to school.
As refugees in Egypt, they are not allowed to attend public schools, and private schools are extremely expensive. It breaks my heart to see my kids deprived of education and a normal childhood.
I am not asking for charity—I’m asking for a chance.
A chance to build a life for my family.
A chance to give my children a future.
Your donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference.
