Hello, my name is Nick Abbott, and I’m one of Dr. Norman and Denise Abbott’s sons. On September 27th, 2024, our family faced a tragedy that we never could have imagined. In the middle of Hurricane Helene, a fire broke out, and we lost everything—our home, our cars, and all our belongings were completely destroyed.

 This house has been our sanctuary since 1992, a place filled with countless memories and love. My five siblings—Norm, Chris, Sam, Justin, and Alex—and I grew up here, and every corner of this home holds a piece of our childhood. Losing it has been an indescribable heartbreak for all of us.

 The storm and fire have left us displaced, without the roof we once called home. As my parents have always been the ones to help others in times of need, it feels strange to now find ourselves in a position where we need to ask for help. But that’s where we are, and that’s why I’m reaching out to you today.

We’re trying to rebuild, but it’s going to be a long and difficult journey. The immediate costs are overwhelming, and we need help to cover: - Temporary housing and living expenses - Replacing essential items and personal belongings - Transportation, since our vehicles were also lost in the fire.
