Our beloved sister, Thandi, is bravely fighting a recurrence of stage IV HER2-positive breast cancer. After a long and courageous battle, the cancer has returned — but there is still hope. The doctors have recommended a targeted treatment that has shown excellent results for HER2-positive patients, giving her a real chance at remission and more precious years with her loved ones.

Unfortunately, the cost of this life-saving medication and ongoing treatment is extremely high, far beyond what our family can manage on our own. Each cycle of therapy costs €2 000, and she will need several rounds along with regular hospital visits, scans, and supportive care.

Despite the challenges, Thandi remains strong, positive, and determined to fight — to keep being the wonderful person she has always been. We’re turning to our community, friends, and kind strangers for support.
