Last week, our Thadius wasn’t feeling well. I took him to the vet and waited in the parking lot all day and transported him to bunny ICU. They had to do surgery on his tummy. We were in and out of ICU for about 4 days. The last time he was in emergency care, they did another x-ray and pfound fluid in his lungs as well as an enlarged heart. At this point, we had spent nearly $5,000. After that x-ray, the doctor wanted him to have an echocardiogram with a specialist. Thadius has a bunny wife, Bodacious. Bodie was born with a heart defect as well. Volunteering at the rabbit rescue, I decided to take her in and take care of her heart scan yearly and daily meds. For the 2 echocardiograms the doctor wants, we were quoted at $1,860.
