Hello everyone, my name is Patricia, and I’m reaching out with a mother’s plea to help save my son, Thabiso, who is currently in South Africa fighting for his life.

My son has been battling Sickle Cell Disease for the past 20 years. Throughout his life, he has endured countless hospital stays, painful immunotherapy treatments, invasive procedures, excruciating bone crises, pulmonary collapse, and many life-threatening complications that no child or young man should ever have to face.

At the moment, Thabiso is hospitalized and needs an urgent red cell blood exchange as part of his ongoing treatment. Despite all his strength and courage, the emotional and financial burden of his medical care has become overwhelming for our family.

The costs of hospitalization, medication, scans, blood exchanges, and the possibility of stem cell treatment continue to grow, and I have reached a point where I can no longer do this alone.
