On December 21, 2021, around 9:00 a.m. Tewa was involved in a one-car accident while going to the dentist. Tewa was transported to the OU Medical Center trauma unit, where she remains in critical care. Tewa sustained multiple injuries to include but not limited to one neck fracture, one back fracture, 16 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and severe injuries to her left arm and chest. On day one, she underwent surgery, and two days later, another surgery. While we are so thankful to have her with us, we also know that she has a long road ahead of her.

 

Tewa knows no stranger.--she is a friend to all. And anyone that knows Tewa, knows that she is there when there is someone in need. She never asks anything in return because she knows that the greatest gift you can give someone is a gift you know you cannot repay.

 

We have been inundated with phone calls asking how people can help. While our focus has been on prayers, we also know that people want to help Tewa monetarily. All donations received through this campaign will be used to assist Tewa on her road to healing.
