Hi, my name is Luke Binder, and I’m organizing this fundraiser for my amazing nephew, Tevin Godwin — a kind-hearted, goofy, and strong 23-year-old who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 testicular cancer.

In early August, Tevin started feeling discomfort and was initially told it was just an infection. But when antibiotics didn’t help, more tests revealed something no one was prepared for — cancer. On September 17, Tevin underwent surgery to remove his right testicle. During the procedure, doctors discovered the cancer had already spread to his lymph nodes, and follow-up scans confirmed it had also reached his lungs.

Despite this life-altering diagnosis, Tevin remains in good spirits and is approaching this battle with the same strength and positivity that he brings to everything in life. Starting in late September, he’ll begin an aggressive 12-week chemotherapy and radiation regimen. While doctors are hopeful for a full recovery, the road ahead will be long, physically demanding, and financially challenging.

Because of his health, Tevin has been unable to work for most of the past two months, and he will remain out of work for the next 3–4 months during treatment. These funds will go directly toward helping Tevin cover out-of-pocket medical expenses, including surgery, ongoing treatment, and day-to-day costs during this difficult time.

Before cancer, Tevin was on the verge of starting his career in insurance sales with New York Life, having just passed his licensing exams in July. Once he’s recovered, he’s eager to jump into that new chapter — and, of course, get back to his happy place: the gym.

Tevin has always been the kind of person who goes above and beyond to show love to others. He lights up every room with his big smile and infectious personality. A die-hard Huskers fan and a genuine, caring soul — he’s someone who gives so much to those around him. Now, he needs a little help from all of us.
