My dear high school friend Tetiana was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago. She underwent through some treatment, but now, the cancer has spread into her lungs and bone. She is a single Mom and lives in Ukraine, where anything related to medical treatment is very very expensive and has to be paid upfront in full before any treatment is done. Tetiana was able to pay in the past with the help of some friends, but now the new procedure is much more expensive than anyone in her circle can afford.
