I'm updating the fund raising goal and purpose because Tess can't catch a break. She needs help.

Tess was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer in December 2024; Cromophobe Renal Cell Carsinoma. So far she has had multiple large tumors removed by having her ovaries and one kidney taken out, between two surgeries since June. She has also been hospitalized in the ICU several times. The cancer can't be treated with chemo and immunotherapy hasn't been effective. Only radiation and surgery have helped. The cancer is controlled at the moment but will continue to metastasize, sadly.

Tess was approved for a very small SSDI monthly benefit, but she was expecting back pay to December, and they are only going back to June. This was a huge blow to her ability to provide for herself. The small monthly payment is doable, if she lives in an RV park. She has part of the money to buy a used RV but has other bills to pay, along with ongoing medical expenses not all covered by insurance (deductible starts over in January, co-pays, and premiums). Getting a truck to pull the trailer would be ideal but we don't think she'll be able to pull that off. Her current living situation is only temporary and she needs to make other arrangements soon. The RV is the most stable option, as it would be hers, and give her security, as it can be moved.

Tess was between jobs when she found out about the tumors, but when the actual diagnosis came, she had to stop the application process to be a correctional officer, with one step left. That was devastating. Any help would be a blessing and so appreciated. Tess hates asking for help, but I'm willing to on her behalf, because she has helped so many people throughout her life. Now she needs it for herself. She has gotten her girls on their feet so now she needs to focus on taking care of her own needs. Thank you so much for all the help she has received already.
