My name is Carlos Fernandez and I am fundraising for Tessa Callahan (Moorman prior to 2012) and her sons, Aidan and Asher. Their house in Barnardsville, NC, about 15 miles north of Asheville, was flooded due to a burst water pipe in the house while they were away.

The entire first and second floor, including drywall, molding, electrical, and appliances, are a total loss. If that is not enough, their insurance company is challenging coverage under the policy.

I have known Tessa and her family for many years and she is an extremely caring and hard working Single Mom, and will be a good steward of your donation.

Currently, a team of volunteers and community services are working with Tessa to help with repairs and warm meals. While they've experienced loss, they've also experienced unexpected blessings. These efforts, however, will not go all the way to get them settled. Any gift you are able to give will go directly to the family to offset expenses.
