In May of 2024, only a few days postpartum from delivering her 2nd baby, Tess slipped on the stairs and shattered her ankle and had to have emergency surgery. Fortunately, baby Ozlo, who was in her arms, was ok. In the year since, she has had ongoing problems which has turned into a condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome that has left her in significant pain and discomfort. Tess now needs to have a Spinal Stimulator permanently placed and the surgery is scheduled for May 15. The stimulator will help distract the nerves so it will stop sending pain signals. The stimulator doesn't make the condition go away, but should at least get her functioning enough to get back to work and be able to keep up as a parent.

Tess is a mom to 2 young boys, Enzo and Ozlo, and will need to take significant time off to recover from surgery. As you can imagine, this is quite challenging as a mom!

Tess is not eligible to get a PCA (personal care attendant) until 9 months from now, and needs the surgery now. Financial contributions will help ease expenses that will be incurred while Tess is unable to work, and may help her be able to pay for a PCA, babysitters, food, and other expenses.

Tess is one of my oldest friends. She is an amazing mama, a hard worker, and has one of the biggest hearts of any person I know. Her sweet boys are enamored with her and will struggle during this time where they can't have her at all times. Please help us ensure Tess and her babies are taken care of during this tough time.
