Help Tess beat Cancer - Round TWO!

Donation protected
Tess Pfohl is an incredible human being and I'm privileged to call her my best friend. She is the epitome of light and anyone who knows her would agree.

Unfortunately, I am asking that you help lift her up, as she traverses a journey she is now forced to take.

Tess was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer on September 4th, 2023. After feeling a significant lump in her breast, she had a mammogram and then a biopsy which confirmed her worst fear - breast cancer. Tess is sadly not unfamiliar to cancer as she beat her first 'round' when she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 2014; where in order to save her life, with unwavering bravery, she opted to have her spine severed to remove the tumor.

She. Is. A. Fighter.

Today, her community needs to have unwavering support for her and her family. Anyone who has gone through significant health issues knows and understands the financial burden and impact created. Tess has taken pride in working as a hospice care coordinator for the last two years and has had to recently take an extended leave while she undergoes 6 rounds of chemotherapy, 3 weeks apart. Following the completion of her chemotherapy regimen, she will undergo a double mastectomy.

Any funds donated to Tess will help with medical expenses, supplies, medication, travel and living expenses. Cancer not only affects the individual, but their spouse, family members and friends. Tess's fiancé Tyler will be needing to take work off as she undergoes treatment and her parents, Bill and Gwynne, will be making numerous trips to Whitmore Lake (9 hours by car) in Michigan to support their daughter. Tess wants to express her deepest gratitude and thanks to those who are walking this journey alongside her, and for any donations received as she prepares for round two of fighting cancer.

She completed her first cycle of chemotherapy on September 28th and will receive her second on October 19th. It has not been easy on her physical body so far as woman with lower body paralysis and having to rely on others greatly. Tess is currently battling the harsh side effects of chemo including fatigue, nausea, tiredness, diarrhea, skin rash, bone pain and neuropathy.

We welcome any support, words of affirmation and prayers. If you'd like to donate another way, Tess's venmo is: @Teresa-Pfohl or her paypal: @tessnp
Please share to help spread the word about this beautiful woman.
