hi! I'm Tris (he/him), the short one, and that's Tess (they/them), the one in the hat.
We are both trans, and did you know that being trans is actually kind of expensive?? you probably knew, huh?
UPDATE August 2025: hey!! We are still struggling quite a bit financially and, most importantly, my laptop -- which is necessary for me to work -- just died outright. So here I am passing the plate around again, and as before, anything you can contribute will help immensely. Thank you so much!
Thanks to your generous support, I've been able to secure a computer solution -- anything left over will go to other medical and cost-of-living related necessities as roughly outlined below.
I have just had my very first HRT appointment earlier today, and discussed medical costs and potential surgeries with my doctor. I will need to save up quite a lot of money to achieve my goals, on top of paying for recurring medical costs such as doctor visits and medicine, and that's where I'm asking you for help!!
The starting goal of 5000 USD is, I know, basically a pipe dream, and I don't expect to get anywhere near that; however, as a number, it represents one year of our combined recurring medical costs as well as a sizeable amount of monetary progress towards my top surgery.
Any donations received (thank you, btw. no, really!!) will be divided roughly according to the following priorities:
- Primarily: combined recurring medical costs (our doctor fees, hormones, injection supplies, etc).
- Secondarily: saving up for my bigger, long-term medical goals (surgeries).
- Tertiarily: less-urgent, but still gender-affirming, purchases (haircuts, clothes, makeup).
I don't know exactly how these will be divided by percentage yet, but it'll probably be something like 50:35:15.
Even small amounts add up (you know this, we've all watched gdq), and we are both truly thankful for anything we get from anyone.
Thank you so much for reading this, and thanks for even considering a donation.
