Tesla was the last single doe kid born from Maserati from a horrible dystocia. When she was born she was essentially dead and I had to breathe life into her with aggressive CPR. We took her mother to the university and later we found out she had a horrible tear during surgery and we had to euthanize. We also found that her placenta was completely necrotic in some areas and Tesla was exposed to some really nasty bacteria. She had nerve damage from being pulled and was really weak. She's been an amazing fighter from the beginning having to overcome sepsis and meningitis and now we are working on rehabilitation for nerve damage and muscle tone so she can walk. She continues to capture the hearts of myself, the vet team and the world of social media. Unfortunately, it's been a really hard year for me this year financially with my husband's heart surgery as well as emergency spleenal torsion on my dog nelli since late February. Tesla had a very generous donor that was paying for her care. However, my friends biological daughter also currently has a goat at the University fighting for her life with a damaged kidney. Any help that you would want to give would be highly appreciated and perhaps she could stay another week and endure more therapy and treatments. And all my years of raising animals, I've never asked for financial assistance and it puts me out of my comfort zone.
