Hi Everyone,
Our baby girl, Tesla, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lymphoma a few weeks ago. She was given a month or two to live with no treatment, and maybe 3-4 months with palliative care. With the CHOP protocol (chemotherapy for 20 weeks), however, dogs can often live up to 18 months pain-free, sometimes even several years. We were not ready to let Tessie go, so we opted to start her chemotherapy right then and there.
It's going to cost us nearly $8,000, and we are lucky to have the credit cards to support this. She's family and we'd do anything for her. However, it's also a financial strain on us, especially with another aging dog in our house, the holidays approaching with two kiddos, etc. So, any help we could get to defray costs would be appreciated beyond belief.
Think of it as a birthday gift for Tesla's mom, Michele (Sept. 28), or an early birthday gift for Tesla herself, who we are hopeful will see many more (she turns 11 on Nov. 14).
Thank you all so much for your support. Dogs are not pets. They are family.
