Help Teryn Jane Renbarger in Her Battle Against Chronic Illness
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,
Teryn Jane Renbarger, a former speech pathologist, has always dedicated her life to helping others, whether working in nursing homes or schools. She is the embodiment of kindness, compassion, and selflessness, always putting others before herself.
In 2021, her life changed forever when she contracted COVID-19, which developed into long-term COVID. Since then, Teryn has been facing an uphill battle with her health. After numerous tests and doctor visits, she was also diagnosed with Hidden Tumor Cushing's Disease. This rare and debilitating condition has caused her multiple health issues, including diabetes that remains difficult to manage, severe liver complications, and high cortisol levels. Despite trying different treatments and medications, nothing has seemed to bring her any relief.
In just one month, Teryn has had to visit the ER twelve times due to dangerously high blood sugar levels and other complications. To make matters worse, the medication needed to treat her condition cannot be used because of her elevated liver enzymes. As a result, Teryn spends most of her time struggling with nausea and vomiting, making it incredibly difficult for her to even eat.
Sadly, Teryn has had to stop working, exhausting her retirement savings in the process, and has accumulated much debt. She has filed for disability, but this is a long process. Her husband, Steve Bragg, will soon need to take off work and be her full-time caregiver. The family has been supporting her financially for some time now. Teryn comes from a family of hardworking educators. Please kindly consider a donation to help in this cause.
