Help for Terry Williams
Terry Williams is our friend and beloved dog walker, and right now Terry is facing another heartbreaking chapter after years of hardship. A proud Native of San Francisco, Terry lived in the family home on Grove Street near Alamo Square since 1971. For many years, Terry has been a familiar and caring presence in the community, known for kindness, loyalty, and as The Mayor of Alamo Square. Over the past few years, Terry and family experienced ongoing anonymous harassment and threats that shook their sense of safety. Then, on May 21, 2024, a fire of undetermined cause destroyed the family home. Terry, Terry’s elderly parents, and three dogs lost everything and were suddenly displaced. Terry’s mom died soon after, adding unimaginable grief to an already devastating loss.
After the fire, neighbors and friends came together to support Terry through a previous GoFundMe. Sadly, those funds were stolen, leaving Terry without the resources that were meant to help rebuild life, regain stability, and grow the dog walking business again. Terry is now living in a rental apartment with temporary assistance through Adult Services, but that support is expected to end on November 1, 2026. When that happens, Terry may have nowhere to go. Funds from this fundraiser will help Terry find a new place to live, cover moving costs, and take the next steps toward stability. If you know and love Terry the way we do, and the way our dog Chuck does, please consider giving in any way you can. Support can also come in other forms, including practical help, legal advice, or connections to housing. If you know of a place where Terry and the dogs could live, or have resources that could help with this next chapter, please reach out. Anything you can do will help. We love Terry and want to see Terry officially get back on their feet after all they have been through. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others. Thank you.
