Help Terry Shepherd After His Stroke
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tammy. I am Terry’s sister. Saturday, May 31st, 2025, my brother Terry Shepherd had a massive stroke and was unresponsive for 36 hours before being admitted to the hospital. My dad is 92 and has dementia and did not know it had happened. At 12:00 AM early Monday morning, he had emergency brain surgery where they found an immense amount of bleeding in his brain and discovered that he had hemorrhaged and that half of his brain had died. They had to take out a piece of his scalp and skull in order to let his brain breathe and swell. He is on a ventilator as of right now and has numerous amounts of tubes and cords keeping him going. As of right now, we do not know what his recovery is going to be like. They’ve told us that one half of his body (right side) is possibly paralyzed and that when he recovers, there’s a chance of him not being able to walk or eat on his own, and his talking may be slurred. At this time, we are unsure that he will pull through but we have high hopes that God will pull him through this! As many of you know, medical bills are very expensive and we do not have the funds to cover everything including his rehabilitation. Any donation is greatly appreciated and we will update the GoFundMe as we know more. Thank You.
UPDATE on Terry. They are taking him off life support, and now we are left with funeral expenses. Terry Shepherd did not have life insurance or any type of burial insurance, so the family is in desperate need. I just spoke to the funeral home and the basic package is almost $10,000. They have to have half up front before they can do the service, and the rest within 30 days. Please, if any of you would like to help, please donate to this, Tammy Pace venmo account @Tammy-Pace-01 or Facebook pay, or after tomorrow morning you can call Blue Ridge Funeral home to make a donation there. Terry was loved by so many, please help this family give their son, brother, and uncle a proper burial. Anything helps. Sincerely, Tammy & Buford Pace, Brandon & Amanda Wilson, Courtney Wilson, Logan Burgess & Shyanne Smith.
