On January 15, 2024, my life changed forever when I became the victim of a violent home invasion in Canadian County, Oklahoma. I was beaten so badly that I was transported to the hospital with a fractured skull, unable to work and left to face a long and painful recovery. As a single parent, I have a son who depends on me, and the aftermath of this crime has made it nearly impossible to keep up with bills and daily expenses. The trauma and financial strain have been overwhelming, and I am still struggling to get back on my feet.
Despite being recognized as a certified victim by the District Attorney’s Office and given a claim number, my situation only became more complicated. Seven months after the robbery, I was charged with marijuana trafficking, and the district attorney offered lenient deals to the robbers in exchange for testimony against me—the very person who was attacked. My rights as a victim and as an American have been disregarded, and my story has been lost in the process. I am now facing mounting attorney fees, medical bills, and the constant worry of providing for my son while fighting to clear my name.
I am reaching out to my community for help because I cannot do this alone. Your support will go directly toward medical expenses, legal fees, and basic living costs, allowing me to focus on healing and caring for my son. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation to help us through this incredibly difficult time.
