Dear Friends, Family and Kindhearted Strangers

I am writing today with a heavy heart to ask for your help on behalf of my dear friend, Terry Corkhill-a kind, generous Christian woman who has always been there for others, but now finds herself in a time of great need.

Terry has endured more heartbreak and hardship in a short time than most have faced in a lifetime.

She recently underwent three major surgeries back to back, each one requiring tremendous strength and resilience. Just as she was beginning the long road to recovery, Terry suffered a devastating fall in her home, breaking her shoulder and arm. While hospitalized from the fall, tragedy struck again— her beloved husband passed away unexpectedly in their home alone. Terry was unable to attend his Memorial, adding another layer of grief to an already unbearable time.

As if that weren’t enough, Terry returned to a home in disrepair. The fence is rotting and falling down, her car’s air conditioning is broken (although she is unable to drive for awhile) and the house itself is in desperate need of maintenance. Hoping for help, she allowed family members to move in. Instead of supporting her during her disability, they stole from her, ransacked her home, took advantage of her vulnerability, and subjected her to elder abuse.

Despite everything, Terry’s faith remains strong. She is a woman who has always given freely of herself - helping neighbors, caring for others and praying for those in need. Now she needs us!!

A safe and functioning fence

Car repairs so she can one day gain her independence

Legal and emotional support as she recovers from abuse and loss

Day to day living expenses while she heals, grieves and rebuilds
