Help Terry Move While He Goes Through Chemotherapy
Donation protected
Hi my name is Terry deMaintenon, and this is my story.
In 2020 my life changed forever when my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. My daughter and I stayed home with her and helped to care for her the best we could but she passed away before a full year could go by.
After that, my daughter and I moved up to New York to be closer to family and to start a new life. Throughout all of this, I knew I had an illness of the liver, but was keeping it managed with the help of doctors and staying on top of my health. Little did we know that I was getting sicker as time passed as well. After many doctor’s appointments and not knowing what the cause was, the diagnosis finally came: stage 4 t-cell lymphoma. It is a rare type of cancer of the white blood cells. My daughter stays home full time to care for me as it has gotten increasingly hard to do things around the house and to care for myself. Unfortunately, in all of this mess, we have to move because we are unable to afford to live in our house any longer. It has been hard on myself as well as my daughter. We are at a loss of what to do and are reaching out for help in hopes that we’ll be able to get into a safe place for me to heal my body. Thank you for reading and thank you in advance for any donations.
