Hi ~ I'm Darlene Brittain I'm trying to raise money for my Son Terry Lee Brittain for his nutritional needs ~ Terry Lee has Emmanuel syndrome a translocation of chromosome 11/22 . On top of all the other medical problems he has, he also has hay fever , Allergic rhinitis , he is allergic or sensitive to most foods. Latex, pesticides, fragrances the list goes on ..He has status epilepticus seizures they seemed to stop when he was removed from the foods he is allergic to & on allergy medicine.. His main nutrition is Neocate splash unflavored which has to be thickened very thick with thick it clear & Simply thickener to keep him from aspirating.His last stay in the hospital ( Aultman ) his kidneys shut down. He was fighting for his life getting dialysis 3 times a week poked & prodded daily he was very traumatized to say the least. During this time received a letter saying that they were ending his social security payments ( they never told me why ) only that I did nothing wrong. I then received a call to get him signed up on another supplemental income which I was pretty much forced to do because we now had no income. I care for my son 24/7 so I'm unable to work. Terry Lee was on buckeye insurance through Medicaid they covered his neocate splash unflavored and at the same time while in the hospital fighting for his life they kicked him off of his buckeye insurance I guess when his kidneys shut down they automatically put him on Medicare I was told that buckeye insurance does not co link with Medicare. I have spent 5 months battling with insurance companies trying to get them to cover his nutritional supplies he has been switched to different insurances he is on CareSource now and I am praying that they will cover these. I've been using zip payments and there is no money left to do more zip payments . 606.16 gets him 12 days of food ( Neocate Splash unflavored 2 cases & thickener is 6 days of nutrition for him ) Can You Please Help Me Feed My Son ?
